On the go

It has been a while since I posted and so I figured I would update you on what we have been doing! The past few weeks have been CRAZY! First, we found out we are expecting our second child!! Yes I know!!! Pretty crazy and exciting. If you would have asked me 3 weeks ago when we were going to try for another baby I would have told you maybe in the fall sometime. But the Lord had different plans for us. It was a shock to Matt and I but we just feel so blessed that the Lord saw fit for us to be parents again. I had wanted to wait because I wanted more time with Cade and we live in a 2 bedroom condo that is very tiny! But that just shows how God knows better and this baby will be such a blessing. I just cant wrap my mind around having another baby but thankfully I have not had the aweful morning sickness like I did with Cade. So I am very thankful for that.
Also, Matt and his dad painted our downstairs this weekend and a few days ago we got news floors put in. WOW!!! It looks amazing and I LOVE it!! I am still trying to get the house put back together but it will happen soon, I hope! I have been taking naps when Cade does because I am so tired and that is usually my time to clean.
But since we had so much going on at home, Cade and I spent some time doing lots of outdoor activities! The weather has been great and we got to spend time with friends while Matt worked. Thank you Matt for all your hard work while we played!!

So that is about it! We have been having fun and hope that the summer will be just as great!! Next I want to conquer our first trip to the beach. I dont know how he will like it but we are doing it regardless!!

My Daddy is cool!!

I am SO blessed to have a wonderful husband and father to Cade. He loves to play with us and on his days off we play all day! Matt runs all over the place with Cade on his shoulders or plays hide and seek and Cade just laughs and laughs!! One thing Cade and I like to do it go up to the gym to see daddy especially when Matt wont get home until late. As soon as we pull in the parking lot Cade starts saying "ball" over and over until we get into the gym and he can go get one. My son loves anything to do with basketball. We had a lot of fun playing in the gym today and I wanted to share some of our fun :)

Birthday Bash

Last weekend we celebrated Cade's first birthday! It was a great time and now that its over, its hard to believe that I have a one year old. Really? Where did this past year go?? I remember the long days of no sleep and wondering what was wrong when he cried and thinking to myself that it isnt going to get easier for a long time. People kept telling me how fast time goes when you have children and now I see why.. Cade is sooooo much fun to be around and is already starting to charm those around him. Not only does he have me wrapped around his finger but so many others as well. We had his one year checkup this week and Cade weighs 24 pounds and is 32 inches. He is in the 95th percentile for height and 75th for weight.
Hard to believe he was this tiny not so long ago..



And now I have a big boy with so much personality and spunk...

Overall he had a great birthday! Surrounded by family and friends that love us..what more could we ask for. I wanted to thank my mom and my sister for helping with all the decorations and planning with me! They are awesome!! I also wanted to thank Joseph, my brother, for taking all the pictures! He is so sweet to do that for me..

Best Friends

I am going to post about Cade's birthday party but first I had to show off these two cuties. I titled this "Best Friends" because I think Cade has found his...Micah D. There is some history behind this friendship..Melissa, Micah's mom, and I have known each other our whole lives. In fact, our mothers have been best friends since they were in high school. Melissa and I worked together for a couple years and ended up getting pregnant together. I was five weeks ahead of her. It was so much fun to go through the ups and downs of pregnancy with a friend. Especially since we were both SO sick! Misery loves company, right?? When we found out we were both having boys we knew they would be great friends. And great friends they are!! We hang out a couple days a week and the boys just love each other. They show affection by pulling hair and poking eyes, boy stuff!! We had them over for dinner and decided to give the boys their first bath together. We of course took butt shots of them which are SO funny, but instead I will just post this cute picture! We are blessed to have such wonderful friends...
