Happy Valentine's Day

This is how me and the boys are spending our Valentine's Day... at home!! Cade is pretending to be a fireman and he is the cutest one I have ever seen!! He has been playing this everyday since we went to the Fire Museum.

And Matthew is playing on his play mat for the first time. He LOVED it and after playing on it for about 10 minutes, he was so tired that he fell asleep! He is such a sweet boy!!

Happy Valentine's Day.... Love Cade and Matthew

My Peanut

Matthew is known as peanut around our house. And I cant believe that tomorrow he will be 2 months old. Gosh time flies!!! We go to the doctor on Thursday so I am excited to see how much he weighs and has grown. He is long but still skinny! We also have a Valentine's party on Wednesday so I will update pictures of that too I'm sure. I will update on Thursday hopefully with his stats and I will share about my sweet peanut...

We are still here...

Cade now loves to climb the stairs and yes we let him most of the time! He was having fun...
Yes he is wearing his Christmas PJ's in February...they still fit so why not :)

MJ is my little peanut!!

He still likes to keep his fists close! Watch out...

We went to the Fire Museum. They gave all the kids hats. It was fun for the kids...

Super Bowl Party at the Nelson's

My little baller...just up from his nap and goes for a ball

Things are SO busy here! If the boys are sleeping for their naps, I am either sleeping or cleaning. But we are still here and having a ball as a family of 4! I really thought having MJ was going to slow us down, he hasnt, we are still on the go. He is the BEST baby and so easy going. I guess that comes with being the second child but seriously this is SO much easier than I thought it was going to be. And not to mention how in love I am with my peanut. Even his little cry is the sweetest thing. We all love him to pieces and Cade is smitten as well. He hugs, kisses and constantly checks on his "baby." We are working on him calling him Matthew but we arent there yet. We have some fun things coming up in the next month. Two weddings that I am in and one which will lead us to Indiana. I am excited and it will be the first time the boys will be on a plane. Either our fellow passengers will hate us or not even know we are there. Either way it should be an adventure. I think Cade will love it and he and Matt will be fighting over the window seat Im sure. Oh and did I mention that my sweet boy will be turning 2 next month?? Oh my gosh I cant believe how fast time flies...

I'm Back!!

So now that I have my blog back... I want to introduce our new guy!!! Meet Matthew Joseph....

My first picture of Matthew and I!! I am in LOVE.

The day we came home :)

The first time Cade asked to hold him. This was our second day home and Cade has loved his "baby" ever since!! We prayed for this..

Merry Christmas!!

Mommy and Daddy got this for Cade. He shoots in his hoop everyday!!

Our first family photo of 4.

Matthews first bath and he loved it! Cade cried but Matthew loves his bath.

I love this face. He is ONE month old already!!

Cade tends to smother his baby brother but it is pretty sweet!!

I will hopefully get back into blogging but man is it hard to get much done with 2 little boys who need their mommy all day long. I never thought I could love another baby like I did Cade but I was wrong. I love Matthew just as much.. He is such a sweet baby. Very laid back and go with the flow kind of baby. Which is nice since Cade likes to be on the go all the time. Matthew is sleeping ok at night, I usually get at least a 5 hour stretch which is good for a one month old. He weighs 7.12 pds (60%) and is in the 99th % for height.

Overwhelmed!!

Today is the last day as a family of 3! I have so many thoughts and emotions going through my mind that I cant seem to grab hold of one and think to long on it. This pregnancy has gone by pretty fast and I cant believe we are meeting our new little guy tomorrow. WOW!!! I am excited to meet him and hold the little monkey that has squirmed inside my body all these months. But part of me isnt ready to say goodbye to my days with Cade. He is my first and I love him SO much!! I cant imagine loving another child as much I love him but I know (after all my friends have shared with me) that it will happen in a split second. I guess I am scared that Cade will be upset with me for having to share my time and that will break my heart. He and I usually are on the go at the park, having play dates and spending most of our time doing Cade things. But as I remember with Cade, having a newborn is a lot of time at home nursing the baby and sitting. Cade does not sit very well for to long. So that probably has something to due with my anxiety. I know I will have plenty of help and I am grateful for that. I guess the "unknown" is part of my fear too! I am sure all moms feel this way at one point and they get through it. I know I will too! But this is where I am today. I stayed up until midnight last night nesting like crazy. For those that know me know that I dont stay up late but I had so much on my mind that cleaning behind the couch, cleaning out the medicine cabinet and rearranging some furniture seemed like the proper thing to do.
Last week Matt and I did lots of fun things with Cade. I didnt want to miss out on Christmas fun so we saw the lights twice, went to Marion Square, got our tree up and decorated, went to Chuckie Cheese, went to James Island Park and had some play dates with friends. It has been a fun week and I have pictures that I will try and post eventually.
Today we went to Chuckie Cheese again with friends from our church and Cade had so much fun playing with his friends. Of course, we spent the majority of his tokens playing the basketball games. And he is pretty good at shooting the ball, ha! We are headed to my moms house tonight for dinner, I got to pick the menu and he will stay the night with them since we have to be at the hospital at 6:30. I am sure I will be up at 5 anyways. I am staying at my parents house until he goes to bed because I want to put him to bed and get some good cuddling. We have been having a hard time at nap and bed time this week. I dont know if Cade knows something is going on or changing but I dont have the heart to let him cry. So I have been rocking him to sleep and I must admit, I love the snuggles I am getting. He loves to have his back scratched and I do it until he is snoring. During these times I have been praying for his heart to adjust and love his brother. I guess we will see :)
I guess my other fear is about the delivery. I had such a great delivery with Cade! My epidural rocked and I didnt feel a thing. I hope this time I get a smooth labor process as well. Matt and my sister will be with me so they are ready for anything and are awesome at making me feel comfortable! Please keep us in your prayers for a safe delivery for Matthew and myself.

Sorry for all the random thoughts all over the place :)

Thanksgiving Weekend

I know its a little late but I wanted to show some pictures of our fun Thanksgiving day!! Cade had a huge day which started with his Aunt Rosa picking him up at 7:45 to take him to the Turkey Day Run. I have been doing this run ever since I was little and I love the tradition. I walked it with Cade last year and the year I was pregnant with him, but since I am about to pop, I decided this was the year to take a break. Cade jumped in the inflatable castles, visited all the animals and then walked in the race with my family. He had a blast and sat in the stroller the whole time. HA! Lets just say he would not to do that for me any day of the week. Matt and I met up with him at 1:00 at my parents for dinner. We all ate lots of food, played football and then had some dessert and watched football. Then my wonderful family surprised me with a diaper shower for Matthew! WE are SOOO blessed to have such an awesome family and my sweet mom organized it!! That afternoon we went to see Matt's side of the family and played outside with their dogs and visited for a couple hours with everyone. It was a great day and when we got home we were exhausted!!! I must say I ate leftovers for days and never got tired of it. I even went shopping on black Friday for a couple hours while Cade hung out with Matt. That night we went out to eat with my family and went back to my parents and had smores. YUM! Cade fell asleep on my dad and we stayed for a while visiting with everyone. What a fun weekend we had!!!! Here are some pictures from our day....

I think he always has a ball in his hand

Enjoying his ice cream with Sweetie

Gosh he looks like his Aunt RoRo but he is ours :)

The boys watching football

My wonderful parents!!!

The Kinard men!

We had a great day!! As of now, I am 38 weeks pregnant and really wondering how long Matthew plans on staying put. My doctor will induce me on December 14th if I dont go into labor so I am guessing I am going to wait until then. I am 1cm dilated but that isnt much! I am going to enjoy my last week with Cade and do lots of fun Christmas things. I will update with pictures from our adventures soon!!

Duck Tales

This past weekend was so pretty and Matt and I took Cade to Hampton Park. Cade is now really into animals and the sounds they make. He knows the cow, bird, dog, cat, horse and duck (maybe more) and their sounds and he loves to say them over and over. We sing "Old MacDonald had a Farm" a lot these days! So we took some bread and went and spent some time walking through the park.

Yes, he let them eat it out of his hand!

Pointing at all the birds.

I LOVE this picture! I felt like a photographer, ha!

It was so pretty :)

Running after the birds...sadly he never caught one.

Update on Matthew Joseph...he is still enjoying his stay in his mommy's tummy. He is comfy! I am 36 weeks and ready ready ready!! My belly just grows daily and my lower back is the constant reminder of that. And not to forget that Cade has no idea why his mommy is slowing down and why he cant sit in my lap anymore, ha! My hands and feet are swollen daily, especially in the morning and at night. Today at church I had to take my shoes off because the swelling was bad. At least I havent had anymore comments about how big I am. I think I have gained around 20 pounds and that is a lot less than I did with Cade. My doctor said that she will induce me on December 14 if I havent gone into labor yet. I am praying I go before that but knowing me I probably wont!

I know I forgot to do a Halloween post so here are a few pictures of my little lion that night...

PaPa and Sweetie's house was our first stop

Oh and we took Cade to his first Citadel football game. He loved tailgating and was so tired that he sat in my dad's lap and fell asleep and we got to stay until the third quarter. It was so much fun and Cade loves football :)

Its the week of Thanksgiving so I will be taking lots of pictures, I hope! And of course, I will enjoy eating Turkey :)
