Boy have we been BUSY....

In the last month I have had a couple different blog entries that I never got to write out. Then I look at my blog and realize it has been a month since I even updated it. Since we found out about baby #2 being a boy it seems like life has been in fast forward for us. Good thing I have my camera because to be honest, that is how I remember what we have done. I am sure there are some things I missed but for the most part it should update you on our happenings!!!

Cade had his first hair cut, well really a trim, from the barbershop where daddy goes! He did great!!

Hung out with our cousin Noah at a family dinner.

My brother, Joseph got engaged to Stephanie!! He took her out on the boat and proposed. It was so sweet and he had her family come down from Indiana to surprise her!! It was so much fun and here is our family after they came off the dock. They had quite a greeting :)

My mom made these outfits for Cade and Morgan. Dont they look sweet!!

Matt and I took Cade to Chuckie Cheese for the first time. We went right when they opened and there was NO ONE there!! It was great and he had so much fun. He was a little nervous about the band but liked it after a while. He liked going down the slide, we probably did it about 17 times.

Of course his favorite thing to do was the basketball goal. Are you surprised?? He is getting a pretty good shot..

Gosh I love this boy!!

He enjoyed the roller coaster too! Matt and I are training him for our first trip to Disney :)

Climbing up the slide is another favorite of his..

We played in the rain that Irene brought! He loved it. I feel like he is loosing his baby fat and looking thinner here...

Touching the rain..

We celebrated my moms birthday!! She is the best mom in the world and Cade thinks his Sweetie is pretty awesome too!!

Labor day weekend my parents took us for a boat ride. My mom got his these cool shades and he thinks he is a big boy!

My cool little blond boy!

We let him go swimming in the creek before we went back to the dock and he loved it.
This updates us to our first weekend in September. We did tailgate at the Citadel but I didnt get any pictures. It was fun though!!
Cade and I had our first day of preschool at CBC. He did great and it warmed my heart to know he didnt cry the whole time. I think he is getting used to the classroom and that mommy comes back for him. I guess since I am pregnant I am a little more emotional about leaving him when he is upset. So church has been harder for me because I hate the thought of my baby missing me. I am sure that sounds crazy to most of you but that is how I feel. So today when he didnt cry it made me feel so good! Of course I was across the hall with 15 three year olds and boy was my day hectic. I came home and we both took a nap! I am sitting here with my feet up because I am exhausted. I hope next time it wont be so long between my updates :)
Oh and baby Kinard is a mover! He loves to kick his mommy especially after I eat chocolate. I cant believe I am 25 weeks. In fact, someone asked me the other day how far along I was and I couldnt remember. I guess that is what having a 17 month old will do to you. I love it though!! Matt is doing great, busy but great and making time for Cade and I so no complaints here!!

We are proud to announce...

Matt, Cade and I are welcoming a baby boy in December!!! We had our 20 week ultrasound today and I must say I was nervous. When I was pregnant with Cade I never had thoughts that something could go wrong or my baby wouldnt be perfect. However, since I have become a mom, I have realized that life isnt always what we expect it to be. I cant tell you how many people told me they couldnt wait to find out if we were having a boy or girl. And all I could say is that I was praying for a healthy baby. Of course Matt and I would love this baby no matter what because this baby is a gift from the Lord. We made our apt in the morning so we wouldnt have to wait long to get seen. When the lab tech came to get us I was so nervous. She started the ultrasound and Matt and I just kept staring at the screen as she measured and checked our baby. It was so exciting to find out we were having a boy!! I had gone back and forth about what we were having but I am just THRILLED that Cade will have a little brother. They will be 19-20 months apart so they will be best buds!!! Plus, I have all the clothes and since they will be sharing a room, it is just going to be great!!! Here are a couple pictures of our little guy...

He was extremely camera shy unlike Cade. So these are the best pictures we got. And yes that is the umbilical cord but the nurse and doctor said they were not worried and said he would move it soon. Also, we have not settled on a name but when we do.... I might share it :)

Just plain FUN!

Today Melissa and I decided to take the boys to the Battery downtown to let them run around and play. Cade loves to chase the birds and squirrels as well. Cade and Micah were going pretty much in opposite directions until we came up to this small water fountain. They had SO much fun that we just laughed at them!!

Can you tell they had fun??

15 months

I cant believe my baby is 15 months old. Where has the time gone? People keep telling me how time flies now that I have a little one and I am trying to hang on but this is going WAY to fast. I now have a toddler. Not a baby although he will always be my baby! He doesnt really walk anywhere, he runs!! My child never sits therefore I am always on the go. I am 15 weeks pregnant and I have gained 1 pound. That is crazy considering I have been eating everything and not much that is good for me, ha! I guess that is because I am running around all day. Lets see...Cade weighs 26.5 pounds, is 33 inches tall and is in the 90th percentile for height and 75th for weight. I have a big boy on my hands so I am grateful he is walking. We have had a fun summer so far. Cade enjoys being outside period! Therefore, I sit outside and just get hot. Its worth it though because pretty soon it wont be just Cade and I playing outside.
We go to the beach, which he LOVES because he can just run all over the beach. We go to the right, then the left, then the water then back to the sand and repeat. I dont even bring a chair with me because sitting is something we never do. We have a pool in the complex where we live so we go there a few times a week. Cade has no fear of the water. He walks right off the edge and just laughs and splashes. And he does it over and over! He lasts about 30 minutes and he is ready to go. Why so soon?? The reason being that I wont chase him around the pool. We are there to swim not chase birds and try to escape through the gate.
We try and go to my moms house once a week because she helps me with Cade and loves to play in her yard. Turn the hose on, fill a bucket of water and he has a ball. Plus she saves bread to feed the birds and he loves that. To bad they barely come near it when he is out there. And we go for bike rides as well. She seems to always have more fruit and better snacks than me and he just loves to be with Sweetie and PaPa.
I am trying to take pictures to keep my memories but I have been slack. I have been taking videos so that is good. Did I mention that Cade can dribble the basketball. Yes, he gets 2 dribbles before the ball escapes him but that is pretty good for a 15 month old?! We also found out that Cade is allergic to eggs. After 3 outbreaks of hives, our doc said we needed to get him tested. So no eggs but he should grow out of it by age 3 so we will be careful until then. After reading labels in the store I have realized I dont recognize a lot of those words.
I am sure this is a lot of reading and not fun without pictures but I will post some soon. Just havent updated in so long!

Georgia makes me smile

Matt, Cade and I just went to Georgia for a few days to visit one of my best friends!! This was our first road trip as a family and we had a blast. Melissa Y and I met 5 and half years ago when she was looking for someone to babysit her son CKY. I almost turned down the job offer because I was busy with the other families that I worked for. But for some reason I decided to call her and go meet her family. I really liked her and I decided to give it a try. I first went a couple days a week for a few hours and it was so much fun. I took him to the park and music class and gym class and we went for walks and bike rides all the time. Then, Melissa got pregnant and had to go on bed rest. So I came more often and helped out a little more. When CKY would take his naps I would watch Oprah and read magazines with Melissa and we became fast friends. Then when her husband finished his residency as MUSC they moved back to GA. I was SO SAD!! But then I would fly there every 3 or 4 months to visit and she would come back for some time during the summer. And of course she came for my wedding. Then when she had her third boy, WSY, he was really sick and was in the NICU at Grady Memorial, I went there to help with the two older boys! I would have flown anywhere to be with her and help her during that time. That is what friends do, right! Melissa asked me to be WSY's godmother and it was such an honor to be asked!! Now that we have Cade my traveling plans have changed but we knew this would be a great trip. And it was!!!! Cade did amazing in the car and was such a trooper.
We went out in the boat and had a blast. Cade loved it!! We went to the Atlanta Zoo and I think his favorite were the giraffes! They were pretty and were moving around. The pandas were so cute but they just stayed still the majority of the time we saw them. We let Cade pick out a stuffed animal for his first trip and he picked a cheetah. HA! I tried to change his mind a few times but he had his mind made up. We also played at the house a lot in the sprinkler and Cade and WSY played naked in the yard. They were so cute and happy to be in the nude. I got pictures because Cade even drove his car naked, HA! I must say, he has the cutest bottom I have ever seen!! We are back now and I am staring at a huge pile of stuff that needs to be put away but I wanted to share some of our history with the Yarbrough's and why they are so special to me!!! I love you guys and thanks SO much for a fabulous weekend!!!

Easter Weekend

I know its late but I wanted to do a post on our Easter weekend. It was full of fun things and time with family. Saturday, Cade and I, along with the ladies in my family, walked in the Easter Promenade with my grandmother. She is in the Hat Ladies of Charleston and every year they walk in a parade. I walked in it a couple of years ago wearing platforms and a cute dress and hat. It was fun but my feet HURT so bad when I was finished. This year I was lucky to find my hat, have time to put makeup on in order to be downtown by 9:15. We made it and my grandmother was thrilled to show Cade off. He did great, sat in his wagon with his snacks and waved and smiled at all the people lining the streets. There were actually more people there than I thought. Here are some pictures from our day.
