Thanksgiving Weekend

I know its a little late but I wanted to show some pictures of our fun Thanksgiving day!! Cade had a huge day which started with his Aunt Rosa picking him up at 7:45 to take him to the Turkey Day Run. I have been doing this run ever since I was little and I love the tradition. I walked it with Cade last year and the year I was pregnant with him, but since I am about to pop, I decided this was the year to take a break. Cade jumped in the inflatable castles, visited all the animals and then walked in the race with my family. He had a blast and sat in the stroller the whole time. HA! Lets just say he would not to do that for me any day of the week. Matt and I met up with him at 1:00 at my parents for dinner. We all ate lots of food, played football and then had some dessert and watched football. Then my wonderful family surprised me with a diaper shower for Matthew! WE are SOOO blessed to have such an awesome family and my sweet mom organized it!! That afternoon we went to see Matt's side of the family and played outside with their dogs and visited for a couple hours with everyone. It was a great day and when we got home we were exhausted!!! I must say I ate leftovers for days and never got tired of it. I even went shopping on black Friday for a couple hours while Cade hung out with Matt. That night we went out to eat with my family and went back to my parents and had smores. YUM! Cade fell asleep on my dad and we stayed for a while visiting with everyone. What a fun weekend we had!!!! Here are some pictures from our day....

I think he always has a ball in his hand

Enjoying his ice cream with Sweetie

Gosh he looks like his Aunt RoRo but he is ours :)

The boys watching football

My wonderful parents!!!

The Kinard men!

We had a great day!! As of now, I am 38 weeks pregnant and really wondering how long Matthew plans on staying put. My doctor will induce me on December 14th if I dont go into labor so I am guessing I am going to wait until then. I am 1cm dilated but that isnt much! I am going to enjoy my last week with Cade and do lots of fun Christmas things. I will update with pictures from our adventures soon!!

Duck Tales

This past weekend was so pretty and Matt and I took Cade to Hampton Park. Cade is now really into animals and the sounds they make. He knows the cow, bird, dog, cat, horse and duck (maybe more) and their sounds and he loves to say them over and over. We sing "Old MacDonald had a Farm" a lot these days! So we took some bread and went and spent some time walking through the park.

Yes, he let them eat it out of his hand!

Pointing at all the birds.

I LOVE this picture! I felt like a photographer, ha!

It was so pretty :)

Running after the birds...sadly he never caught one.

Update on Matthew Joseph...he is still enjoying his stay in his mommy's tummy. He is comfy! I am 36 weeks and ready ready ready!! My belly just grows daily and my lower back is the constant reminder of that. And not to forget that Cade has no idea why his mommy is slowing down and why he cant sit in my lap anymore, ha! My hands and feet are swollen daily, especially in the morning and at night. Today at church I had to take my shoes off because the swelling was bad. At least I havent had anymore comments about how big I am. I think I have gained around 20 pounds and that is a lot less than I did with Cade. My doctor said that she will induce me on December 14 if I havent gone into labor yet. I am praying I go before that but knowing me I probably wont!

I know I forgot to do a Halloween post so here are a few pictures of my little lion that night...

PaPa and Sweetie's house was our first stop

Oh and we took Cade to his first Citadel football game. He loved tailgating and was so tired that he sat in my dad's lap and fell asleep and we got to stay until the third quarter. It was so much fun and Cade loves football :)

Its the week of Thanksgiving so I will be taking lots of pictures, I hope! And of course, I will enjoy eating Turkey :)

Happy Monday

We decided that we needed a camera since I lost ours. Matt was very sweet and started looking online for a good deal and we found one and got it!! I am so blessed that my husband understood how much I needed to have a camera with all the memories and exciting times coming up in our lives...what with a new baby arriving in 6 weeks and the holidays! Here are some shots of Cade just playing around with the camera. I am pleased :)

Happy Monday!!!

Updates...

WOW!! I cant believe it has been a month and some change since I have updated my blog. We have been busy that is for sure! Lets see... I am 32 weeks pregnant and ready to meet my sweet wiggly boy. I have gained 18 pounds but I am NOT going to post a picture because I have been told by way to many people that I am huge and am I sure that I am not having twins. Since this is my second pregnancy I expected to gain more weight than I did with Cade. However, contrary to what people, some that know me and some that dont, have said to me I have not gained nearly as much as last time. Probably due to the fact that I am chasing a toddler that doesn't know the meaning to the word sit or stay still. He is a ball of fire and busy busy and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I will say that my back hurts more (Cade does weigh 28 pounds) and my hands and feet swell way more this go round. I spoke to my doctor about how I am ready now to have this baby due to feeling this way and lack of sleep and she assured me that this is all normal for a second pregnancy with an active toddler. Great!!! Ha
Cade is now 18 months!! My boy is growing up!! He weighs 28 pounds, is wearing 24 month clothes and is becoming very independent. He likes to feed himself, get his own toys, walk up the stairs and tries to walk down and his vocabulary is really coming along. His new words are hotdog, doggie, cat, duck (with the sounds they make), RoRo (my sister), Clifford, bird, tweet tweet, Tay Tay ( his crush) airplane and a few more that will come to me later I'm sure. It amazes me everyday when he says a new word. I must admit that I am having a hard time accepting him growing up. Matt has become his new buddy which is really sweet and he loves time with his daddy. Along with him growing up, we have began to see some new behavior with him. Lets see...he will try and hit when he doesnt get his way and he has learned the lovely new word "NO!" Yes, my sweet boy likes to tell him mommy no!! Lets just say that Matt and I are working on this everyday all day and I carry a wooden spoon in my purse. Cade def knows what it means when I pull it out and we are grateful for it being effective most times. Of course, we still have issues but we are learning and he is learning how to obey his mommy and daddy! We end the "learning time" with a prayer and he is so sweet about that. He prays before he eats, after time out and getting spanked! We are trying to teach him how Jesus wants him to act and it will work, hopefully, haha!!
Matt, Cade and I just got back from vacation!! We went to the mountains for 5 days with some friends from our church who have kids Cade's age. It was absolutely beautiful and it took my breath away everytime I saw the different colored trees. We went to Sky Top Orchard and played in the playground, rode on a hayride, sat on tractors, visited all the animals, walked through a bamboo trail and got apples. We were exhausted when we left. We went to Asheville and visited Black Mountain. We had a great time and the reason I dont have a single picture to show is because my camera has disappeared. I cant find it anywhere and this makes me SO SAD!! Cade is in the habit of throwing anything in the trash and I am not sure if that is what happened or its just missing. We dont have a large place which minimizes hiding places and I just cant find it. We were blessed that we went with friends so I will get pictures from her :)
After the mountains, we spent a couple days in Myrtle Beach with some of our other friends who had a house in a nice community on the beach. We rode the golf cart to the beach each morning and yes Cade played in the water (yes it was cold). He fed the local ducks and visited them daily. I got a girls shopping day at the outlets and the boys hung out at the house and watched football. We played putt putt, not really fun for Cade yet, went out to eat and hung out at the house. I was ready to come home and get back to our routine. I think Cade was too! Matt probably could have stayed on vacation for much longer because he has a busy season right around the corner called Upward.
Since we have been home, we caught up on laundry and have hung out with our friends and family! We went to Legare Farms on Saturday with friends and had fun and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Once again, no camera, but a friend took a couple pictures so hopefully we will get those from her!! I thought Cade would love the cows since he finds them neat but he did not like them charging the trailer and their long tongues. He was a good sport and didnt cry but just clung to me like white on rice. HA!
So right now, I am sitting typing all this and hate that I dont have one picture! I will soon because a camera will be coming as an early Christmas present since I love to take pictures and it helps me remember all we do and have done!
I will update soon and hopefully have pictures! Cade is going to be a lion for halloween so that is def picture worthy... :)

Sick

I just want to open this post saying that I LOVE being a mom! I really think it is the greatest thing next to having a great husband and giving my heart to the Lord. With that said, having Cade sick this weekend has been SO hard!! I am used to my little man running all over the place, jumping around, being loud and eating. Friday, he came down with a fever. It came on so fast that it was scary! 102.7 scary!! I called Matt and we gave him medicine and thought it was teeth or something. Being up all night with him crying uncontrollably was so hard. I do not like not being able to fix my baby's problem! Saturday, we went to my parents to get out the house thinking that would make him happy. He cried on and off all day and that night was my sister's 30th birthday party. We didnt get to stay because he got worse. Another night of no sleep was ahead of us and we decided to go to Peds Plus Sunday morning to get him checked. They "checked" him and said it was probably just a virus of some sort and to keep giving him meds as he needed. Well after another rough night and Cade waking up with 102.8 temp we went to see our doctor! We love our doctor!! He is a friend as well and its nice to know that he is always there by phone or visit. So he checked Cade and found ulcers in the back of his throat. YUP...we have another version of hand foot and mouth!! The good news is we are on the better side of the slope since the hard nights are behind us. I told Matt that if I would have found out on Friday what we were up against, I would have cried right there. Cade had this last winter and it was such a hard few days! Not to mention I am almost 7 months pregnant and holding a 27 pound boy can be straining on your back (side note).
Last winter, which was our first with Cade, we caught everything. 6 ear infections led us to tubes, RSV, Hand foot and mouth, pick eye, the lovely stomach bug that he and I had, and a few common colds. It was a rough winter for us! I am praying that we have a better cold season especially since we will be welcoming our baby boy soon!! Please pray that we will get well soon and have our fun boy back soon!!
I will say I am thankful SO thankful for Matt!! He helped me the whole weekend, stayed home from church and was up all night with me splitting shifts and constantly trying to help with everything!! I love him and I love that he loves Cade and I so much!!!

Boy have we been BUSY....

In the last month I have had a couple different blog entries that I never got to write out. Then I look at my blog and realize it has been a month since I even updated it. Since we found out about baby #2 being a boy it seems like life has been in fast forward for us. Good thing I have my camera because to be honest, that is how I remember what we have done. I am sure there are some things I missed but for the most part it should update you on our happenings!!!

Cade had his first hair cut, well really a trim, from the barbershop where daddy goes! He did great!!

Hung out with our cousin Noah at a family dinner.

My brother, Joseph got engaged to Stephanie!! He took her out on the boat and proposed. It was so sweet and he had her family come down from Indiana to surprise her!! It was so much fun and here is our family after they came off the dock. They had quite a greeting :)

My mom made these outfits for Cade and Morgan. Dont they look sweet!!

Matt and I took Cade to Chuckie Cheese for the first time. We went right when they opened and there was NO ONE there!! It was great and he had so much fun. He was a little nervous about the band but liked it after a while. He liked going down the slide, we probably did it about 17 times.

Of course his favorite thing to do was the basketball goal. Are you surprised?? He is getting a pretty good shot..

Gosh I love this boy!!

He enjoyed the roller coaster too! Matt and I are training him for our first trip to Disney :)

Climbing up the slide is another favorite of his..

We played in the rain that Irene brought! He loved it. I feel like he is loosing his baby fat and looking thinner here...

Touching the rain..

We celebrated my moms birthday!! She is the best mom in the world and Cade thinks his Sweetie is pretty awesome too!!

Labor day weekend my parents took us for a boat ride. My mom got his these cool shades and he thinks he is a big boy!

My cool little blond boy!

We let him go swimming in the creek before we went back to the dock and he loved it.
This updates us to our first weekend in September. We did tailgate at the Citadel but I didnt get any pictures. It was fun though!!
Cade and I had our first day of preschool at CBC. He did great and it warmed my heart to know he didnt cry the whole time. I think he is getting used to the classroom and that mommy comes back for him. I guess since I am pregnant I am a little more emotional about leaving him when he is upset. So church has been harder for me because I hate the thought of my baby missing me. I am sure that sounds crazy to most of you but that is how I feel. So today when he didnt cry it made me feel so good! Of course I was across the hall with 15 three year olds and boy was my day hectic. I came home and we both took a nap! I am sitting here with my feet up because I am exhausted. I hope next time it wont be so long between my updates :)
Oh and baby Kinard is a mover! He loves to kick his mommy especially after I eat chocolate. I cant believe I am 25 weeks. In fact, someone asked me the other day how far along I was and I couldnt remember. I guess that is what having a 17 month old will do to you. I love it though!! Matt is doing great, busy but great and making time for Cade and I so no complaints here!!

We are proud to announce...

Matt, Cade and I are welcoming a baby boy in December!!! We had our 20 week ultrasound today and I must say I was nervous. When I was pregnant with Cade I never had thoughts that something could go wrong or my baby wouldnt be perfect. However, since I have become a mom, I have realized that life isnt always what we expect it to be. I cant tell you how many people told me they couldnt wait to find out if we were having a boy or girl. And all I could say is that I was praying for a healthy baby. Of course Matt and I would love this baby no matter what because this baby is a gift from the Lord. We made our apt in the morning so we wouldnt have to wait long to get seen. When the lab tech came to get us I was so nervous. She started the ultrasound and Matt and I just kept staring at the screen as she measured and checked our baby. It was so exciting to find out we were having a boy!! I had gone back and forth about what we were having but I am just THRILLED that Cade will have a little brother. They will be 19-20 months apart so they will be best buds!!! Plus, I have all the clothes and since they will be sharing a room, it is just going to be great!!! Here are a couple pictures of our little guy...

He was extremely camera shy unlike Cade. So these are the best pictures we got. And yes that is the umbilical cord but the nurse and doctor said they were not worried and said he would move it soon. Also, we have not settled on a name but when we do.... I might share it :)
